General Litigation

In a civilized and democratic society, people are supposed to work out their differences (that cannot be reached by agreement), by bringing a lawsuit. Often, that requires hiring an attorney to either (1) initiate a lawsuit as a plaintiff to enforce your rights or (2) defend your interests and rights as a defendant.

From the very beginning, Scott Stone represents both plaintiffs and defendants throughout Long Island, New York City, Westchester County and the Hudson Valley in general and commercial litigation, as well as some alternative dispute resolution. Scott has litigated matters in both state and federal courts and has experience representing both individual and corporate clients in a myriad of litigation matters involving contractual disputes, collections and family disputes, among others. He handles every phase of the litigation, including pleadings, discovery, arbitration, motion practice, settlement and court conferences and trials. Scott always advises his clients based on the merits of the case and seeks what is in the best interests of the client.
